If your are looking to supercharge your morning or even trying to boost that afternoon slump, I love this smoothie for not only how delicious it is, but also how nourishing it is for the body.
If you are time poor in the mornings, this is a brilliant go to as all the ingredients can be thrown into a blender and blitzed within a minute. I also make it often as an after school snack for my hungry boys to tie them over till dinner.
The ingredients contain healthy fats from the avocado and coconut milk which will keep you full, nourish your cells and support your blood sugar. Protein from the chia seeds, nuts and collagen powder are building blocks for your cells, supporting your recovery, growth and energy levels. Carbohydrates from the banana and dates will certainly give you the sweetness and energy boost you need to get on with your day.
As always, some of us prefer our smoothies thick and cold, others more runny…so, feel free to adjust the liquid & ice quantities to suit your taste. Adding some other healthy fats through ingredients like hemp seeds, linseeds, coconut oil, can also add to the nutrient depth with little fuss. A true testament to how whole-food ingredients can taste so unbelievably yummy!
Enjoy!
